  1. The Raven - Warrel Dane/Ted Kirkpatrick - Orange Amp Drone Mix
    by Ted Kirkpatrick
Not just this track but I have the entire album that this appeared on. If you're fan of Nevermore you will get a kick out of this one -- Ted is in the business not just to win souls but bring back memories. This entire album a single two paragraphs can't do this justice.
  2. All has been written
    by Ardent Sky
I was checking out Got-Djent.com as this would been a partner to the site I grabbed up the compilation called the Djent-Lemen's club. This album has strong vocals that remind me of Empyrean Sky in terms of the gymnastics this guy does with it Check out empyreansky.bandcamp.com from Oak Lawn, Illinois, to compare notes. This is a solid release in 2015 heavy metal had been very promising in the 2010s
  3. VOICES
    by Pretty In Purgatory
It gave Nikk "Skum" Dibs an outlet to really open some doors for his new path playing with Dope. Hearing him play with members of Ministry he's a good guitarist and seen the video for this. It's almost like Kristov (R.I.P. as Andrew Ian Dodge is hanging out with him) picked the drummer to work with .
  4. Kreischen
    by Leper
    Photosensitive Photosensitive
I heard Skot play this one live when my roommates (Michelle Russo and Shawn Borri) were doing a show at C3. I had no idea that Skot and Rachel would end up being as close as I was when I knew Rey from Worldview. I am taken back that Acid of Fashion Bomb became friends of theirs too. Whatever you do -- please watch your language. Skot in the early era can get you in fits of headbanging.
  5. Pathogenic Ocular Dissonance
    by Tourniquet
    Phantom Limb Phantom Limb
This is a hard album to pick a favorite track because it's got a unique direction for it. I wish I had the Metal Blade Records version of this because you'd never guess they got dual distribution This is a hell of an album -- what Master of Puppets did in 1986, Tourniquet did with this album then Iced Earth in 1995 with Burnt Offerings.
  6. Where Moth and Rust Destroy
    by Tourniquet
A Ghost at the Wheel A Ghost at the Wheel
I like the use of surrealism in this one as my horror story I tested out on Tourniquet's fans share this title too. Luke Easter has a strong literary voice with his talents and this is the best album of 2003 along with VOIVOD's self-titled. Working with Marty Friedman I was going, "Wow" then this one I spoke with Bruce Franklin when Trouble played and asked him about this one. I wish they brought Marty and Bruce with them live on this one. The violin being used in the album -- nice touch.
  7. ONWARD TO FREEDOM - title track single
    by Ted Kirkpatrick / Tourniquet
Hearing the whole album on Spotify.com and pledging to this album -- I wonder what tracks came from my input. Some some of the vocalist stayed on for more than one track. Gabbie Rae is the star vocalist on the track but it's a hell of an ensemble cast. How are they going to do these new outings live? Anyone deserves a curtain call in Chicago -- it's Ted. Very cool album and get this for if you like heavy metal and want something cool.
  8. Earthen Grave
    by Earthen Grave
    Tilted World Tilted World
Every track on this album rocks -- I had the demo where Scott Davidson was playing with them. This is the heavy metal band where the violin play have some real running room. If you have Tourniquet's new album this album compliments it because Ron is one of Ted Kirpatrick's touring band mates from Trouble during the Run The The Light era. Not too far off from what Trouble does but almost in Tourniquet territory when they do descriptive horror. Trust me you will not be disappointed.
  9. Ministry of Saints (feat.Lindsay Schoolcraft)
    by Illuminati Project
Checked this out because my buddy is engaged to Lindsay -- the hardest working female vocalist either as a backing vocalist or a lead vocalist. Heard the track Dani guest vocal'd on of hers -- this is very cool. If you like eerie classical stuff you'd appreciate this. Check out my friends Earthen Grave if you also want a strong interaction of violin with heavy dark lyrics.

  10. SEPSIS (2014)
    by Sepsis
    Hipster Deth Hipster Deth
I found this one via a tumblr.com blog that I found and I will say this is an interesting album to say the least. It's short but needs something more epic though. This was found on a tumblr.com for the Twilight Zone as a shared link.

  11. Eye of the Needle
    by My Silent Wake
    Three Furies Three Furies
This is a hard album to pick a favorite because Ian did something unique where he combined minimal doom metal elements with this one. This is recommended for fans of Dead Can Dance -- he's very talented and this is still Ian but a different side of him.
  12. COMPILATION VOLUME 1
    by THE DJENT-LEMEN'S CLUB
The Earth Laid Bare - Hypocrisy The Earth Laid Bare - Hypocrisy
this is an interesting compilation of this style that Lamb of God claimed, "There is no such thing as Djent" but Bloodline Severed, a Christian heavy metal band plays this style. One composer who is doing something based off my short story is doing something in this vein too with doom metal elements. This album is very cool -- The Earth Laid Bare is my favorite track on this.
  13. The Snow White Rose of Paradise
    by Empyrean Sky
    Empyrean Sky Empyrean Sky
The CD over all and I have this album on a CD format and on Spotify.com . This band was an Mp3.com phenomenon because they appeared out of nowhere. There are going to be a lot of people asking, "Where the fuck is the drummer?" This is their cyber-metal trait -- known more for Industrial Metal as they have programmed drumming but sounds like a drummer that is akin to what Ted Kirkpatrick of Tourniquet does as the drumming doesn't sound programmed. Homebrewed metal and damn well done.
  14. Revocation
    by Revocation
Entombed By Wealth Entombed By Wealth
It's to pick one track with this album because it's a damn good album. Hailing from the same place as Meliah Rage, Aerosmith, and Godsmack -- there is a lot of pressure in Boston because when heavy metal in Boston. You're thinking those three bands -- but the first of the three you're seeing a heavier style with this one. We have a band here in Chicago called Empyrean Sky and if Revocation is checking this out -- they will hear Emyprean Sky. from Oak Lawn, Illinois. Cool stuff. overall.
  15. Tourniquet - Live in California
    by Tourniquet
    Broken Chromosomes Broken Chromosomes
This song is one Tourniquet's serious tracks that speaks up for the disabled -- as I was in Special Education classes and knew a few like this. Don't underestimate someone who is disabled because you're seeing someone very talented. This album is foreshadowing the future of Tourniquet because you're going to hear in the 2000s and the modern era is where you see Ted Kirkpatrick's full creativity. Sarah Jezabel Deva of Cradle of Filth fame said something very powerful of Ted and very cool too.
  16. "REVEILLE" (The Zombie Charge)
    by Beauty In The Suffering
This is just a very cool track that one of the guys behind Marazene Machine does -- he did some good stuff as Marazene; but he needed an outfit for his creativity since his collaborator moved to L.A and joined Dope. DieTech very cool stuff here man -- and if you want to do something with String of Nerves; it's yours to work with. You guys need to get out of solo prison though because this is good stuff but having the solos will make this a more vicious delivery as vicious as this is already.
  17. Breaking Free
    by Forever Still
The Last Day The Last Day
I think of my time when I was in the UK when I heard this album. The band that's similar to them here in Illinois is Analog Digital Disorder . I will get one of their tracks over to them too -- the song The Path reminds me of this one too. Interesting who looks me up on twitter.
  18. ANTISEPTIC BLOODBATH
    by Tourniquet
    86 Bullets 86 Bullets
This is a powerful track that tells the dark tale of Tyke the elephant who had been sent off to eternity when they decided he was useless. His retirement was the present of 86 Bullets -- something that you need to give the voiceless a voice. Tourniquet's mission was this since year one -- so having them checking out my projects too, I was meaning to buy this for years but now I am on bandcamp. I am checking this out on here. Very powerful album with an ensemble of guitarists.
  19. Extending the Tangent
    by Empyrean Sky
Trauma and Tragedy Trauma and Tragedy
I had worked with you guys with co-designing my first collection, Collectives In A Forsaken Landscape and waited until I had a descent computer to get my happy ass on here. This album kicks ass from what I heard when you first unveiled this one. It was long overdue but worth the wait.
